AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL
Raising awareness and winning a pitch.
Sometime in the early 2000s, Michel Jongeneel and I participated in a Jonge Honden pitch for Amnesty International. The challenge was to create a newspaper ad that highlighted a situation, country, or regime where human rights were violated.
At the time, the brutal Taliban regime was still relatively unknown. That didn’t stop us from making an ad about it. It was a gamble, but it paid off — we won the pitch.
